@manton EV's tend to be for luxury buyers, so I find subsidies hard to justify for anything but low-cost domestic models. Cost competitiveness, particularly against Chinese EVs, is VW's (and others') problem to solve.

Tesla can probably weather losing them better, and Musk being polarizing will give people varied reactions, but I'm ok with them (and most market distortions) ending.
